What an absolute pleasure it was to work on the Ireland’s National Maritime Festival Seafest campaign for 2017. It was the best year yet since it’s inception in 2015. Our campaign of digital campaign management, social media engagement, Television adverts and digital advertising brought this event into focus for over 3 million people. Digital engagement was through the roof as we managed to beat up all pre festival forecasts.
The search term Seafest tripled on the back of our hard work and our digital advertising spends saw costs per engagements achieved way under industry averages.
We harnessed the power of our large community both in Galway and those engaged or likely to be engaged with fun family events, seafaring and cooking demonstrations and free entertainment.
The event as a whole ended up being a wholesale success story for the city bringing in 100,000 visitors up 40,000 on the previous year.
